Hagar helps aspiring authors craft clear, energetic writing and compelling narrative arcs, supporting them throughout the various stages of bringing their books into the world.

She takes great pride in being an active coach and cheerleader; decades of experience as a professional writer have taught her to respond to feedback with enthusiasm, grace, and gratitude.

Hagar’s clients have included chefs, CEOs, psychologists, activists, and a wedding planner. She has also partnered with Apple TV+ to create book tie-ins to iconic programs including Oprah’s Book Club, Severance, Pluribus, Silo, and Ted Lasso. Hagar’s own writing has appeared in various anthologies as well as dozens of national publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Chicago Tribune, Glamour, Ms., the New York Times, and Women’s Review of Books

A graduate of McGill University, Hagar is happiest when she’s A. reading; B. wandering; C. eating street food; and D. gathering with friends. She loves the word feisty.
